In the Spring of 1969 we moved aboard "The Ark", our new home. The next two and a half years were filled with many new and exciting Adventures that we all remember fondly to this day. Two new crew members joined us during this period of time.

But in the background a legal battle was underway because the town of Fair Haven which  had originally OK'd the admission of our kids to it's public school system, changed it's mind.

Coming home... A new perspective on life

Our Home and Family were front page headliners at least ten times and also featured on occasional local news broadcasts. Mary and I were constantly on the alert for any incoming "legal" problems.

The kids meanwhile were the envy of all their friends and we invited many of them aboard to join us for a weekend.

In the Fall of 1971 Don purchased a Honda Motorcycle Dealership in Camden, NJ and we would live in the apartment above it. And so we moved from our Fair Haven Home on the water and  became apartment dwellers once more. "The Ark" was now just a boat, and would not become a home again until 1977.
